Ecofeminist and founder of I Lead Climate Action, Adenike Oladosu, is fighting to save Lake Chad. Once the eleventh largest lake in the world, and depended on by 40 million people, it has shrunk by 90% in just 60 years due to the effects of climate change.
To date, Adenike has warned more than 2.5 million people of the changing size of the lake through infographics that show the early warning signs of drought. She has also empowered 20,000 women to become custodians of the planet through workshops that encourage attendees to discuss and solve environmental issues.
